Great seeing you back on the water. It’s good to do a little bit of what we love. Spent a peaceful hour this morning out a hack on Lulu. The work never ends but we just need to remember to take breaks.

I don't know if it helps you to know this, but you help me, too, (and I'm sure, others) when I join you, virtually, for a paddle in your sea-kayak.

Wonderful. So pleased you got out on the water today, and found joy. We really do need our time with whatever makes us calm and happy. Today I spent time walking amongst trees, ancient stalwarts who've seen it all and are still standing. Here I find my comfort and solace.

If the momentum to write fades when you are back home, that doesn’t mean you are bad, or failing. You embraced the morning light, well done.

i had to do the same, its easy to forget that these pleasures we have on our doorstep can bring happiness, i took 3 days out last weekend to kayak solo and just recharge my spirits

That's fantastic. I need to make an income - badly - but I also need to remain close to my outdoor roots. It can feel indulgent when I do get out on the water, like I'm skiving off work. But really, it's hugely important.
