First off there is currently another fire burning down multiple buildings at Mandilas as we speak the fire started at 7pm its 12:30am (Over 5 hours now) and the fire is still burning multiple buildings seriously, Secondly eyewitness accounts allege that... the firefighters response time at the 2 Fire incidents today were very slow. how Do we ensure that this does not repeat itself in the future? Serious safety measures should be put into place so that these trucks and mercenaries are stationed all over Nigeria and are fully equipped with both Sufficient fuel and water and every other facility for quick and effective deployments all over the Country so lives and Properties are saved in time.show more

California: During the most critical part of wildfire operations on the Bain Fire in Riverside County this afternoon, air operations were shut down due to a civilian drone flying over the fire. (Audio attached) This was at a time that structures were under threat, as well as lives of both civilians and firefighters. They had multiple tankers working the fire on a “no divert” for life safety, and some idiot flew their drone over the fire likely hindering protection of both life and property. The suspect was detained and taken into custody. (Audio attached) It’s impressive to hear just how fast this operation took place, and the professionalism involved. Last year, California had 186 drone incursions over fires, over 75% of those led to the halting of, or delaying of aviation operations over active wildfires. It’s a major problem. One punctured through the wing of a scooper. The number was so high, they excluded it from national numbers so it wouldn’t skew the annual trend graph. If you are a long time listener of the show, or a reader of my articles, you know what I think should be done to these drone flyers. The fire is now nearing 1,000 acres, zero percent contained, is still active, and they are evacuating an animal shelter that is threatened.

And nobody was walking into schools and shooting people. “And this is not happening in other countries. Switzerland has a comparable number of guns as we do. And the last mass shooting they had was 23 years ago. We’re having mass shootings every 23 hours. So, there are many, many things that happened in the 1990s that could explain these. “One is the dependence on psychiatric drugs, which in our country is unlike any other country in the world… “And we are looking at that at NIH. So we are doing studies now. We’re initiating studies to look at the correlation and the potential connection between over-medicating our kids and this violence.”

Through coordinated and determined efforts, firefighters brought the fire under control by 11:48 a.m. There were no reported injuries to civilians or firefighters. The Charlotte Fire Investigation Task Force determined the fire to be an accidental attic fire. Estimated property and contents loss is approximately $50,000. Incidents like this underscore the importance of working smoke alarms in every home. Smoke alarms provide early warning and give people the critical time needed to escape. The Old Trails Fire currently 25% contained, the Autumn Lane fire 20%, and the Fairview fire 15%. The alleged arsonist believed to have started the old trails fire is charged with first-degree arson, in court today for his arraignment. Evacuation orders are still in place for tens of thousands, and with weather conditions worsening over the next several days, it’s likely they will stay in place as people are desperate to get back to their properties. The firefighters executed an impressive and aggressive attack on the fire, which originated on the sixth floor, successfully preventing it from spreading to the lower floors and nearby buildings. The fire quickly escalated to a three-alarm incident, affecting the sixth floor, attic, and roof of the building. During the initial response, multiple occupants were rescued, and notably, two cats were saved during the second alarm phase. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Over 100 firefighters, more than 50 fire apparatus, police officers, and additional city services responded to the scene. Firefighters faced challenges due to the building's old construction, which included multiple light wells, lath and plaster construction, and heavy fire conditions on the upper floors. This incident exemplified traditional, aggressive firefighting tactics, which ultimately contained the fire within the structure. Currently, 45 residents have been temporarily displaced and are being accommodated on-site in an SFMTA bus. This number is subject to change. The fire was contained by 5:30 AM, and the American Red Cross has been called in to assist.
