Here’s the rear left camera! You can see the truck was only over the line just enough to dodge the car.

@tesla_na @cybertruck Scooting over is much safer the slamming the brakes. FSD knew their was space because it's always watching the blind pots.

@tesla_na @cybertruck For sure. It took into account everything around us all at once whereas a human has to look in each mirror or camera and then decide where to go.

@tesla_na @cybertruck If you were looking down the road you can clearly see the car. You are just a terrible driver and this is a fail for FSD because it also didn’t look down the road and see the car broke down and didn’t try to evade until the last second.

@tesla_na @cybertruck I’m a terrible driver? lol yeah. Depth perception at night with oncoming headlights and a line of cars next to me… hmm.

@tesla_na @cybertruck Yeah. You can clearly see the orange hazard lights on in the video from when the video starts. As a defensive driver your eyes should be scanning the road as far ahead as you can see.

@Randomly_Extra @thesimple_sarah @tesla_na @cybertruck @grok how many collisions happen each day with similar situations but with only a human driver and no FSD Supervised?

Based on NHTSA data for 2023, there are about 6.1 million police-reported crashes annually in the US. Rear-end collisions account for nearly 30% (~1.8 million). Studies show ~60% of rear-end crashes involve a stopped lead vehicle, equating to roughly 3,000 such daily collisions with human drivers.

@newberry94005 @Randomly_Extra @thesimple_sarah @tesla_na @cybertruck Based on studies including NHTSA data analyses, female drivers are involved in about 40% of rear-end collisions. Applying to the ~3,000 daily estimate, that's roughly 1,200 by female drivers.

@tesla_na @cybertruck Geez that was close

@tesla_na @cybertruck I could only imagine what happened with drivers that weren’t using FSD.

@tesla_na No kidding... I love how FSD bought itself more time by slowing down and got past the stationary car with no issues. FSD saves the day again... or night in this case

@tesla_na @cybertruck Love FSD!! Keeps getting better and better too

@tesla_na @cybertruck Yup! This is only the beginning.

@tesla_na @cybertruck Glad you're OK. I can relate to a lot of what you're saying. It's hard to see, and by the time one sees the problem, it's often too late for human drivers to react. That save by FSD didn't just save you but many people around you. 🙏

@tesla_na @cybertruck So glad that FSD prevented a possible tragedy! Happy you can tell the tale.

@tesla_na @cybertruck I can see the hazard light in the video in my tiny phone screen blinking several seconds before the car reacts and you say that you basically didn't see them at all? Maybe you shouldn't be in the driving seat at all or get your eyes checked.

@tesla_na @cybertruck FSD saves lives

@tesla_na @cybertruck Definitely saved a few that night.

@tesla_na @cybertruck How do you not a see a car with it's blinkers on?

@tesla_na @cybertruck Glad you’re okay. Moments like this show how powerful FSD really is.

@tesla_na @cybertruck ... You couldn't do thar yourself? Hand over your license — you are a danger for others on the road

@tesla_na @cybertruck It’s been pretty amazing lately. Glad it keep you safe!

@tesla_na @cybertruck I was kinda dogging on it before, then took a 2,000 mile road trip. Game changer.

@tesla_na @cybertruck I was too. Now with the latest updates it’s pretty incredible!

@tesla_na @cybertruck Whoa super bad situation. Situations like this, FSD would handle it better, even if I were super keen. My FSD avoided a small collision today

@TeslaCarey @tesla_na @cybertruck Sarah, you’d love @ArthurFromX’s @TesCamStudio. It can use the high res footage from your sentry drive and offer custom FSD overlays and layouts.

@tesla_na @cybertruck FSD is amazing 😻

@tesla_na @cybertruck Clearly you were distracted. Any decent driver would have seen that and have taken evasive action. FSD did good though..

Agreed with others. The broken-down van’s hazard lights were clearly visible from far away. Admitting you didn’t even see it until too late is an admission you weren’t paying attention. Yes, thankfully FSD avoided an accident; however, it could have merged much earlier without needing to push other cars over in their lane. Overall: C- and improvement desired—from all parties!

@tesla_na @cybertruck Wow crazy

@tesla_na @cybertruck Nicely handled FSD! But what about those other idiots?! Why are they passing you when obviously you're trying to change lanes? FSD avoided two accidents not just one. 👋🙏

@tesla_na @cybertruck @NBCNews @CNN @FoxNews this is a good story to cover

@tesla_na @cybertruck very cool

@tesla_na @cybertruck I think the FSD completely failed here. The right thing to do here is slow down the traffic facing lane hazard. FSD is gifted with cameras & sensors far more than humans had enough time to slow down the lane. The cars behind Tesla are a guaranteed pileup! @elonmusk @Tesla

@tesla_na @cybertruck Woooow! Glad it kept you, and others safe!!

@tesla_na @cybertruck Me too! Later in the night it stopped for deer running across the road.

@tesla_na @cybertruck Safety for humans, and more importantly, our furry friends 🫡

@tesla_na @cybertruck This is great. Thank you for sharing this, Sarah. 💙

@tesla_na @cybertruck Had to! I was amazed.

@tesla_na @cybertruck FSD is amazing. Upgraded to the 1TB storage for the 24hr film. Glad they updated that portion of sentry / dashcam.

@tesla_na @cybertruck Wow. Thought it’s amazing, I’m not surprised at all.

@tesla_na @cybertruck Saves the day more than anymore I know

@tesla_na @cybertruck Life saving technology

@tesla_na @cybertruck • An average of about 566 fatalities per year occurred in crashes involving disabled or stopped vehicles on roadways. • These incidents resulted in around 14,371 injuries annually.

@tesla_na @cybertruck @RealDanODowd maybe you should at some of these as well if you cared a bit

@tesla_na @cybertruck This is why FSD is GOLDEN!!! Glad your safe!

@tesla_na @cybertruck Sarah, your background is good, you present yourself in a professional manner, you look good also. The only issue is holding that "thing" in front of you. Stop. Consider an off-screen boom.

@tesla_na @cybertruck Eh. I have a MKH416 and Rode NTG 3 but I prefer holding a mic

@tesla_na @cybertruck Looks bleh when you do it, and it keeps moving

@tesla_na @cybertruck My FSD saved two bunnies last week 🐰🐰

@tesla_na @cybertruck even went for it with the overtaking car possibly boxing you out

@tesla_na @cybertruck Promise you'll post more of these... I just followed you for it!
