Oakland Mayor Barbara Lee is launching a new pilot program to pay the homeless to clean up the areas around encampments So California lets the homeless trash the sidewalks, and now wants taxpayers to pay the homeless to clean up their own trash This would be similar to a program they have in Portland, Oregon where they hire people who have been homeless to do things like pick up litter.
