@UCLA This reminds me of the first time I listened to the Pixies, I was outraged. "I can't believe they did that" Is an apt description of my reaction, which is why I revere the band with a smiling frown.

Love this!! If someone makes something terrible, it gives you something to think about, to be interested by. If someone makes something that's just fine, you're left with a vapid experience you've learned nothing from. Always love some risky weirdness in art!

@UCLA 🤔 perhaps in context of music, but I do not see “hate” as “positive” reaction. Indeed it is a reaction but has a negative connotation we should not underestimate. I would rather suggest people to learn how to give constructive emotional feedback and embrace tolerance
