Why does the gravity pulse work like that on the automatons?

Astral Automaton has an aura ability that gives it extra stats based on how many Automatons you've played. It's base stats are 1/2. When you cast Gravity Pulse, you swap its base stats. Automaton went from a Base of 1 to 4 to 7, with an active aura of +3/+3 present the whole time

I like the back and forth tension of Hearthstone, being able to OTK on turn 4 in Standard just isn't fun.
