Thanks Morning Ireland for covering Progressing Disabilities - which is complete failure for #Disabled children. Imposed with no Clinical sign-off & no Risk Assessment for damage & chaos it has brought to thousands of Disabled children, families & carers HSE Ireland 100% Responsible

@morningireland @HSELive There is a complete lack of urgency and concern from the HSE around improving disability services. They are more concerned about administrative issues than people's lives.

@morningireland @HSELive Please keep up the pressure Tom. All we have is a shop front when it comes to disability services. No disability service exists for our autistic 18yr old in Galway he is linked in with adult mental health services only for medication monitoring. He has multiple disabilities.

@morningireland @HSELive 100% , @roinnslainte also have to take responsibility here. They appear to have completely outsourced oversight of @HSELive to parents of kids with disabilities. Parental high court actions are now the only functioning oversight of Dr Steevens.

@morningireland @HSELive What's been said for at least 2 decades......? "Ireland's Disability policy is incredibly Policy Rich, but an Implementation Pauper". Lots of talk, which is smoke and mirrors to the General Electorate who are kept blind as to the real plight of disabled people and carers.

Complete lack of support, therapies, respite, and no urgency to address any issue. It's very disheartening and perplexing amid talk of a budget surplus...

@morningireland @HSELive There was a good piece by Richard Curran in yesterday’s SINDO Business about what appears to be a reluctance in the health service to upgrade technology, which would resolve a lot of problems. It was the first pIece I’ve read for years that might suggest a way forward.
