If you look up polymathic brain, there’s another video that breaks it down so as it doesn’t seem so extraordinary. Maybe it will be more relatable. Like: you are a good learner, you soak it in quickly and then apply it and put it into action. Simply put. This original video is short yet colorful! Great Post.

Thanks Celeste!

😊

A jack of all trades is a master of none, but often times better than a master of one 😉

I thought that was my tism

Okay! So I have a “polymaths brain”. If that’s all you’re gonna show me, I’m still left with the conundrum: What’s it useful for, and how do I appreciate it in ways others can use? What is our ROLE? I feel like we’r scrambling to find that out. If any of you do, PLEASE let the rest of us know what to do with ourselves, yeah? Thanks, love.

I don't mind step by step instructions, but once I go through them once, I add or subtract steps...love tweaking things, all the other things fit.

I learned this term only today and suddenly things make a whole lot of sense now .

I have never heard this word. As usual, I researched it and found a definition of “Me”. This is wild! I’ve always been called a jack of all trades and master of none. Thank you for this post 👍🏻

I have cheat codes to a game I have no idea how to play…

This describes me and my son. We both frustrated the hell out of our teachers, who always complained; “You have such potential, If you would just apply yourself”. Translation: I know you learned the material because you Aced tests. But you didn’t turn in any homework.

1) Check 2) Check 3) Check 4) Check 5) Check (I thought that was because I'm a Gemini)

She wants to be DaVinci, but more like Clyde the local general contractor who goes to the bar for quiz night and wins every week.

This makes so much sense. Wow.

I couldn’t concentrate on processing a word of what she said… vocal fry had me twitching.

Sounds right to me…on every level. 😉

Well shit, grok just confirmed that this is described how my mind works 80-90%.

Very accurate 🔔🔔🔔🔔🔔

Jip in a nutshell. To whom it may concern. Undeniably boring when everything seems to be a re-run of loony tunes.

So I'm not weird?! It's just a subset of type? Why is this the first time I've ever heard it as a thing?! Okay, this made me happy.

Even a polymath can operate on a linear plane or a multi-dimensional plane. What this video is lacking in, is the meta-integrative view to factor, what for a lack of a better term, can be called something like "worldview" which has been extensively mapped by the developmentalists and which should enhance and add to what this video is saying about interconnected perspectives. Meaning one layer of understanding looks vastly different from different perspectives that is taken, one example of this that can be easily seen is in our politics today. So even concluding that a polymathic brain leads to one type of conclusion or feeling about things as expressed in this video is limited, and limiting, because a meta-polymathic brain might (or might not) revel in all the things this video is saying such a brain wouldn't. Lastly my guess is in the multi-dimensional lens, there is the idea of a "center of gravity" and why this particular view in the video of a polymath comes to this particular conclusion is that it is situated in what can be called a post-modern developmental lens, which deconstructs larger systems to create a system of "non-system," which leads to the prioritization of the subjective, which can lead to ideas of being special or different as the marker of the polymathic brain. Again, this is not incorrect, but rather not the full picture.

Isn't this just everyone with an IQ high enough for introspection?

I can so relate to this.

Me too - birds of a feather!! 🕊️

Relate being an INFJ, if I don’t know something i become hyper-fixated, deep diving a subject until I feel versed. I don’t think it is a blessing because most people become dismissive of input if you’re not a mono-specialist with that vocational’s paper trail.

This hits hard

𝙸𝚝 𝚒𝚜 𝙴𝚇𝚃𝚁𝙴𝙼𝙴𝙻𝚈 𝚋𝚘𝚛𝚒𝚗𝚐 😑 𝚝𝚘 𝚞𝚜, 𝚕𝚘𝚕 Exactly as you said 😅. I will admit having figured this out about myself at such a young age and having the ability to “see” things before they happen, has definitely helped guide me ✨💜

It's unsettling because it's awfully relatable. Number one has Dunning Kroger effect written all over it. Number two has self delusion written all over it. Number three's ADHD it's just what it does.👇

I was told this was my ADHD. (Never been diagnosed.) Sources?

Wow someone finally put a name/description to who I am.

I did feel uncomfortably seen. Thanks for the video ;)
