If you apply for the Winter Fuel Payment this week you probably won't hear back until March. What good is that for a pensioner deciding whether they can heat their home this Christmas? Labour's winter fuel cut is as incompetent as it is cruel.

Cook County and the city of #Chicago now officially in a Heat Warning from noon Monday until 10PM Wednesday night Due to the “Urban Heat Island” effect Cook County has slightly lower criteria to trigger a Heat Warning than the surrounding counties do. For Cook, 3 consecutive days of 100° or higher heat indices (that’s the current forecast) or two consecutive days of 105°+ (we may hit that Tuesday) trigger the warning (Forecast heat indexes below for Mon-Thur) We know the drill, this is t our first heat rodeo and we ain’t Europe. Hydrate, cool down where you can, check on your neighbors that can’t handle heat, keep your four legged friends cool too. Nighttime can cause more heat stress than day particularly for elderly folks who might in truth be too afraid to leave windows open and have no A/C. Be neighborly and help them out.

This is the definition of compound, concurrent heat extremes! What you're looking at is the pressure pattern & wind flow at the 500mb level (5600 m, 18K ft). This is why Death Valley hit 129, the Med may hit 118, Iran heat index 152F and China hit an all-time heat record of 126.

An extended period of dangerous heat is expected this weekend into next week as the Southern Plains will remain under the influence of a summertime ridge. High temperatures will generally in the upper 90s to mid 100s °F with even higher heat indices. #okwx #texomawx

#Hurricaneerin is hungry. It will feast on hot water up to 88 degrees. After using this heat to power its engine, it will dissipate said heat. Leaving a cool ocean wake in its path, ~10 degrees lower than it found it. The water cools not just due to heat absorption, but also overturning /upwelling, wind and rain.

Soo i thought they nerfed Flappy kicks overall.. but apparently they only nerfed the Heat version?? is this the first move in Tekken history that is weaker in its "buffed" form?
