8? You mean I'm not supposed to still be practicing?

DItto except - they are missing the flamethrower guy. He was a monster on the battlefield!

Mom’s hairspray and leftover firecrackers as added dramatics was the ultimate back-garden dreamworld for me. Hours would go by, I’d come back inside for supper like a godamn war hero…

This was peak gaming

Hah ... Still have them Still enjoy them at 48 😅

The battle of LIVING ROOM CORNER 1989. For 45 minutes those brave Green Soldier men saw HELL ON EARTH! … Till my mom told me to get off the floor in my new school clothes and I’d better pick all those “army-mens” cause if my Dad steps on one again he’s gonna throw them all out..

I still play war.

This is awesome. Only inaccuracy is there are no bent rifles. My rifleman had to aim a little right or left 🤣

It's like they took my childhood straight out of my head...it's beautiful.

those toys had so many heroic stories when we were younger

Loved toy soldiers, used to dig complex trenches, line the edges with sticks and dug-outs for the main command. Machine gun positions and tank entry points with a digger I would use the tracks to make multiple tank tracks in the mud. Then finally other long sticks going across covered in grass to work as a form of camouflage.

Imagination writes the best stories

This video is approximately 88 minutes too short

Where's the barbecue lighter fluid ??? And the lady finger firecrackers ??

Same here ... I could watch two hours of that 🤣🤣🤣 Bigger the boys bigger the toys ... speaking of toys Must Have One Now

I need a sequel.

Ok can we remake a 10 hour Band of Brothers like this

It was next next level when these came out , my cousin stared strapping these to bottle rockets during the holidays was awesome 🚀

For mine circa 1971 - Green guys, Americans - Yellow, Japanese - Silver blue, Russkies I kept them in my Man from U.N.C.L.E. lunch box.

Enjoy.

I remember the mortar man and having no idea what he was and never wanted to use them. Then I joined the army as an infantryman, learned about 11C (mortar man or indirect fire infantryman) and decided I still wanted nothing to do with them. Proud to be a leg. 💪

Grenade was the best. 😂

We use to set them up and then throw firecrackers onto the battlefield.

This became way more fun after the 6th Grade when I discovered tabletop wargaming and started using dice to determine outcomes.

We used to have full painted army battles with toy soliders, elastic bands were our heavy artillery. 🤪 Good times.

I never saw Saving Private Resin this is up there with the all time greats!!

Epic fight scene. Where is part 2. NEED PART 2, that was inadequate cliff hanger. I had a guy that was clearly a better squad leader than this guy. He came with a landing craft and was of the brown-plastic division. Great job on this.

I still have my MARX TOYS full set. USA/green, Germany/grey. Flags, barbed wire, jeeps, tanks. My favorites were the minesweeper guys and the wounded soldier that you could put on the stretcher and slide the stretcher handles in the two guys that would carry him away.

me and the neighbor kid would set up two opposing sides and defenses with sticks and small rocks. Then take turns lighting and tossing unraveled black cat fire crackers at each others armies from behind our own so much fun
