"That is where the crime occurred and was found unanimously beyond a reasonable doubt that the President of the United States committed 34 felonies in the Oval Office." WATCH: Andrew Weissmann (weissmann11 on Threads/Insta)🌻 explains why the DA could recommend jail time for former President Trump

The first felony conviction of a former US President wasn’t for the Iraq or Afghanistan wars, illegal CIA coups, drone striking weddings, censorship, forcing experimental vaccines on people or spying on Americans… It was because Trump misclassified a $130,000 legal expense as a legal expense instead of a campaign expense. Tells you everything you need to know.

@AWeissmann_ What is the underlying crime because the jury had several options and it didn't need to be unanimous?? Just curious?

@AWeissmann_

@AWeissmann_ First-time offender, no priors, no monetary victim, and no defined crime. Where's the election interference? Oh, that's right, they didn't charge him with that just like they didn't charge him with insurrection. But you already knew that.

@ChrisJansing Many folks believe that ‘the justice system is rigged (particularly towards the rich and famous)’. What Trump is crying about is that with all of his celebrity he couldn't rig it in his favor (despite being out of the White House). That's partly why he so much wants to be back in to the White House because that's where the power of his own rigging of the system worked to perfection (Mueller Probe, 2 impeachments etc).

@AWeissmann_ Journalists don't have the guts to admit jailing Trump would be a disaster for the country.
