Should you trust alternative medicine practitioners? The answer is a resounding NO. And here is an example. Trivandrum, Kerala-based Ayurveda practitioner Vaidya (not Dr.) Rekha Radhamony misleads her >100K followers on Instagram with an extremely dangerous anti-science narrative. Such narratives sow seeds of mistrust in science-based medicine among patients and general population. It generates chemophobia (that all modern medicines are chemicals), inculcating the false notion that everything "natural and herbal" are safer and primal practices are effective. This helps Ayurveds and such practitioners sell their practices and products to people. AYUSH practititioners deceive themselves first, through a study course that stuns their critical thinking centers and makes them sheeple when it comes to following dogmatic practices on healthcare. They stop questioning. They stop thinking logically. They lose rationality. They become pithed frogs on a tray waiting for controlled animation. Ayurveda/Homeopathy are like a religion. The practitioners become members of a cult. Their only aim is to protect the religious/dogmatic principles and practices of the cult and its members and have zero concerns and are insensitive towards patients and their families. This results in FIVE major issues: 1. Patients get misdiagnosed and disease worsen. 2. Patients receive wrong treatments for correct diagnoses and develop disease-related complications. 3. Patients develop severe complications related to toxicity and adverse events of untested, unregulated alternative medicines. 4. Patients end up spending more for their required timely treatments due to initial mistreatment and falsely believe that modern medicine is expensive. 5. Patients die - terribly - avoidable deaths. Practices such as Ayurveda are deeply flawed - from every perspective you look at it. The practitioners are empty vessels, they make background noise, they cannot diagnose, treat, and do not have a protocol for follow-up and has no knowledge, practice or methods to identify adverse effects within their treatments. Even if the patient dies, Homeopaths would not be able to understand that the person is dead, because Homeopathic practice is inherently a brain-dead practice. I was rediagnosed with #metastaticbreastcancer 10 years ago today. Christmas 2013 was good, my hair was finally back to “me” before primary #breastcancer & then the Kylie wig had to make another appearance (was nothing like Kylie Minogue) It’s etched in my memory sitting in the car waiting to go into the appointment knowing that life would change forever with a incurable breast cancer diagnosis… I had to tell my children I’d loose my hair, my daughter cried & wouldn’t look at me for a month without hair. And my best friend Jayne was there for me & us all. I met my new oncologist with a “I’m doing a 62 mile bike ride is that ok?” I think he was a bit surprised but he said yes. I did the Manchester to Blackpool 3 more times since that first time on chemo. And even though I’m hugely thankful to my Oncologist (whom I changed to) & the team of people who have supported me it’s been a difficult time & of course still remains difficult at every scan… Over 14 surgeries including a neck resection, sternotomy Radiotherapies on neck resection, humerus bone, SRS on a brain metastases 80+ scans 160 treatments every 3 weeks It’s a fucking rollercoaster. 5 year survival ~26% 10 year survival ~13%? (Seen this stat but can’t find any latest info) No other stats after 10 years... Now radiotherapy needed soon on a left breast pectoral node, small rib metastases & small lymphatic area all in similar area. But I’m here to see another sunrise & sunset... and thinking of all my friends that have died in this time. Way too many 💔 and it continues with 31 every single day. And that’s why I & all my friends @metupuk keep campaigning. We are the voice of those who can no longer speak up. This is Tina today. She’s on top top form but her vet results were not good. Her kidney failure has gotten worse. I wanted to explain how and why today is a great day though… 👩‍⚕️ A team of vets (yes Tina has a team around the world offering their services for free) have said there is nothing more that can be done. It’s time to just manage her comfort. ⏰ Tina might have a few weeks or at best a few months left. 💊 She has blood pressure medicine and everything else she could need (her kidneys can’t support any more medicines) 🥘 She has a special diet that a very kind lady donated to her. The best of the best. Now the good stuff… ☀️ Tina is still feeling great. She is full of energy and went on numerous walks in the sun today 🎾 She still plays non stop with her beloved tennis balls 🥰 Tina gets endless messages of support and love from around the world. I tell her about them every single day. 😁 Tina is happiest when with her human. I’ve tailored my life so she is barely ever alone. She thrives with company and it relaxes her. 🤷‍♂️ I know people will wonder how today is a good day? It’s a good day because Tina is happy, feeling good, loved and playing. She has everything she ever dreamed of. Dogs don’t think about yesterday or look ahead to tomorrow. They live in the moment. And in the moment everything is great for Tina. ❤️ There will be tougher days ahead but today is a great day. One of Tina’s favorite Sundays ever. I can tell she’s never been happier. Her world is complete. Tina doesn’t know what is coming and my role is to just help her love her life and enjoy every second she has. Tina could have been dead alone and sad months ago and never have known any of this. She’s touched people all over the world and people think about her daily. She has her ball, her human, her friends and even though her kidneys are failing her heart couldn’t be more full. After Tina’s start in life she has shown me and others how to live in the moment. And in this very moment, today in the sunshine Tina is having the best day she ever had. 🥰🎾❤️🙏

Spencer Pratt is out with a big announcement about what's coming next, and it's kind of a big deal. In an epic video released Friday, Pratt made clear he is not going away, they did not kill his political career, and he is just getting started. Here's what he said: "Now that the campaign portion of my mission to save Los Angeles is coming to a close, and I'm moving on to the next more interesting phase. Listen, I've spent a lot of time slaying everybody. I've ridiculed everyone on the roster, and I just want to say from the bottom of my heart, I'd like to take the chance to apologize to absolutely nobody. You think you can get rid of me that easily? You have no idea how bad things are about to get for this city. Look at this place already. Weeds growing from every crack and crevice, graffiti over every square inch of public space, garbage, drugs, feces, burned up dogs, burned down towns, abandoned storefronts. This city is a mess, and you're about to reward the arsonists who torched the place with four more years of destruction. My goal hasn't changed. I've been laser focused on stopping these commie animals, and I will stop them. If you think we uncovered a lot of fraud and evil in the campaign, just wait. We have some recordings of one of your exalted candidates doing and saying something that would make her resign in shame. I was saving it for the general election. Go ahead and Pick your demon, certify your choice, and then you get to see it. So Karen, Nithya, ask yourself, is it possible that one of your employees may have a recording of you doing or saying something that would force you to resign in disgrace? Hope you sleep well at night over the next five months because you know who hasn't slept well at all for the last 17 months? My mom, all my neighbors in the Palisades, all the moms who worry about their kids walking past drug addicts in front of their schools, all the business owners getting crushed in the LA economy, worried that they can't stay in business and feed their kids. Angelenos have been struggling for years now, all while corrupt politicians and fraudulent NGOs profit off the misery and fleece us for the tax dollars. Well, now we're flipping the script. I want all of you awake at night, sweating and worried about 5 a.m. when the FBI blazers bust in the door, breaking open your office, because I assure you they're coming. You think your election was going to stop me? If you want to stop me, you're going to have to f*cking kill me!" This is one of the best political ads that I have ever seen.
