Pharrell and Justin Timberlake collaborated on several songs over the years. They first worked together in 2001, when Pharrell and his production partner Chad Hugo (known as The Neptunes) produced the hit single “Girlfriend” for Timberlake’s boy band *NSYNC. The following year, Pharrell and Hugo produced more than half of Timberlake’s debut solo album, Justified, which included the smash hits “Senorita”, “Like I Love You”, and "Rock Your Body".
