That pilot is an absolute STUD!

His freaking balls have their own seat under his. When he gets home and gets it on with his wife, all 12 neighbors get pregnant by association. His buddies don’t buy him beer, they just bring barley and hops over and he brews it in his beard. His aura is off the charts. A matter of fact they call him Aura Borealis, cause it’s in the freaking magnetosphere.

I was on a plane like this years ago (maybe the 90s, east coast) when part of the landing gear wouldn’t go up or down. The pilot buzzed the tower so they could get a look at the problem. Then the pilots flew in big dips and steep banks to burn off fuel for a long time. They did a big dip over Arlington National Cemetery that I’ll never forget. The flight attendants had us put our drivers licenses/ ID in our pockets. Figured out later that that was so they could ID bodies. We had to remove our high heels or any shoes that could damage the inflated slide after we landed. We were directed to put our heads down and cover our heads with our arms. The pilot made an amazing landing with one wheel that wouldn’t go down and we could deplane on a rolling stair on the tarmac. The pilots face was covered with lipstick kisses. I thought it would be all over the news but not a word. My family never heard a thing about it until I got home and told them. I was a little shaky for the next few times I flew I’ll tell ya’.

And he wouldn’t talk to the press or do interviews, just went home and walked his dog.

I was an aircraft rescue firefighter when this happened. I've seen a lot of in flight emergencies. Nothing ever went catastrophic, but I remember watching this on TV at the fire station. The shift literally cheered watching this. Front gear coming to rest dead center... Epic

I was off work early and turned this on. It was on every channel for about an hour as he burned off fuel. It set up so much tension, it was great when they finally landed.

One hell of a landing

I remember watching this as a kid. They circled quite a few times to burn off the fuel before landing. As a kid I knew they would be fine. Looking back as an adult, I have no clue how the front landing gear didn’t snap
