NBC News is reporting that Erika Lee, the woman behind the viral post that claimed her neighbor’s cat was kidnapped at the hands of Haitian neighbors, deleted her post. She now says that it was wrong and that she misinterpreted a neighbors story and ‘messed up royally’. She never meant to cause so much hate against this one group of people.

“I am more of a man than you will ever be! I had to work for my masculinity what did you do” OMG its so embarrassing being trans these days. The absurdity of it all! These trans people being told to deny their biology is causing so many to have these delusional thoughts! When you are transsexual you know your biology and why you transition because of it. To challenge actual men that you are more male than them wreaks of envy. Its so sad and disconnected from what trans is. This person making their voice low thinks thats what a man is. I genuinely think this was the first time many people in that room were confronted with the hard reality of the trans debate, rather than the slogans that usually surround it. Buck Angel Transsexual was exceptional: calm, articulate, humane. Ultimate respect. And then there was Helen Webberley. I remember once thinking the criticism directed at her by GC women was excessive, especially the claim she was ‘pure evil’. After hearing her speak, I no longer think that. She is totally insincere. I can deal with hard ideologues- they believe they are telling the truth; they are genuine, Dr Helen Webberley (she/her) is different. One audience member, a trans-identified male and former patient of hers, stood to speak during points of information. His account of how he had been treated was deeply disturbing.
