Hogan probably booked it

As goofy as this is, man ric Flair is great

The Booker: Ok guys, the Horseman are going to storm the ring and put a beating on Hogan. HH: That does not work for me, brother.

Hogan and Flair had insane chemistry. Everything they did was so in synch.

1999 WCW was arguably worse than 2000. By 2000 you already knew the company was done, and the wacky shit was kind of amusing. In 1999 you still thought WCW had some potential despite terrible booking just like this. The company's break was just 2 years prior.

We wonder why the company went under. Here is proof of why

The same guy whose entire existence as a podcaster is based on criticizing other people’s booking and business sense.

Hogan booked this shit. He had full creative control over his storylines and everyone else's. Full Veto power

Well they presented Hogan as an unstoppable guy + with NWO getting over with the fans, because of his accomplishments in the WWF so can see why IN THOSE DAYS, Hogan wasn't selling enough. But that's the only theory I got besides that it's his ego that made him who he was/is.
