That time Barack Obama was rebuked by Alan Keyes on same-sex marriage, using Natural Law. This debate was held on October 26, 2004, when both were running for office to be a State Senator in Illinois.

Well unfortunately the vast majority of the country is too dumb to follow any of what he’s astutely saying

God does not exist. Nature is not inherently good. (Go ahead, eat some anthrax.) Disgusting things are not inherently bad. (Go ahead, refuse all surgery.) The rest is idealist "true definition" crap. How does anyone get persuaded by this conservative schlock?

It seems the wrong man won.

I met Dr. Keyes once, he is an incredible mind and a faithful Catholic. Americans didn't deserve him as a U.S. Senator. He was far too good for Illinois.

WHERE is Alan Keyes? He wiped the floor with Obama in every respect!

Wow! Well said It is noteworthy that Obama has since admitted he had gay sexual encounters with men in Illinois during this time period

That wasn’t based on natural law. That was based on traditional social constructs which we now recognize are outdated and incomplete (perhaps even arbitrary) at their inception

He is one of the most brilliant men I’ve had the privilege of listening to and conversing with. The challenge is that it makes it difficult to be electable.

@EWErickson Pretty sure they were running for the US Senate, not state senate.
