This is just smart situational baseball. Jeter is on first with the bases loaded so nobody is holding him on so he can get a huge lead. Then it's 3-2 so you're already running on the pitch. He rounded second at full speed before the ball was in the outfield

That may be one of the worst throws I’ve ever seen from a professional player. But no one was getting him with that jump
