Deer shed their antlers painlessly once a year. If you haven't seen it before, well this is what it looks like.

Deer shed their antlers annually as part of a natural cycle influenced by hormonal changes, particularly testosterone levels. After the mating season, testosterone drops, causing the weakening of the bone at the base of the antlers, called the pedicle. This results in the antlers falling off. New antlers begin to grow soon after, covered in a nutrient-rich "velvet" that supplies blood to the developing bone. The growth process is influenced by factors like age, nutrition, and overall health, with antlers typically reaching full size by late summer, before the next mating season.

Moose typically shed their antlers annually and the process can take hours and even days. Both antlers dropping at the same time like this is incredibly unusual.
