@Gwaza_Victoria This is what happens when nurses are understaffed and hospitals force too many patients on one nurse. Mistakes happen when people don’t have time to think. This wasn’t the nurse’s fault but the system.

Hospital dramas are nearly always fucking cringe. You should lose your job for making a mistake like that. The point of you being there is you know what to do for daily paitents. If you cant even get dosage right you seriously do not need to be there. Like go do any other job bro.

@Gwaza_Victoria This hits close to home for me. An ER doctor gave my mom the wrong dose of medication, which caused her serious health issues and led me to become her caretaker. Even if it was an accident, the nurse in this video should still face serious consequences.

@Gwaza_Victoria It happened to me, the doctor was furious with the nurse. But we also understand that anyone can make a mistake… the problem in my case was that I told the nurse she was giving me the wrong drug and she wouldn’t listen.

@Gwaza_Victoria What most likely happened is the hospital made her work extended hours no break causing a nurse to make a serious mistake, but in the end it would be the hospitals fault for negligence of Employees mental health

When I was in nursing school, I learned that 80% of all nursing errors occurred in the last four hours of a 12 hour shift. EIGHTY FUCKING PERCENT!!! That was back in 2000, and even after more than 20 years of knowing that 12 hour shifts are too long and put patients at risk, they still do it. Why? Because nursing unions won't allow nurses to return to an 8 hour day, 40 hour work week. Nurses get time and a half for that extra four hours every shift they work. So even though they only work 36 hours a week, they actually earn MORE than they would working 40 hours a week. Meanwhile, they put patients at risk and don't give two fucks as long as they are making more money.

@Gwaza_Victoria Someone who has a years-long career who has never made mistake like that deserves a second chance if it was genuinely a simple error not born of complete negligence. No human is perfect 100% of the time.
