The judge was playing the role of the parental figure the child likely never had.

I know the comments are going to be filled with criticism of the 'that’s what life is about' part, because most people love pointing out the negative. Sure, maybe that’s not what life is about—who cares? Listen to the bigger lesson he’s giving the kid.

He was just saying life is about doing well and being ABLE to do these things bc you’re not stuck in court or jail. I’ve seen this judge many times and he’s awesome. He didn’t mean that in a bad way.

He had me till he said what life was about. Life is about Jesus Christ. If you worship the world, your god is your stomach. Philippians 3:19 Their end is destruction, their god is their belly, and they glory in their shame, with minds set on earthly things.

Judges should rule on law not emotion.

I agree, but judges are not robots; they're human. And there's nothing wrong with helping a kid who can still be helped—a kid who probably nobody cared enough to try to change his life for the better. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

This type of legal system can save the American children. It's actually giving a sh*t and helping the parents in need. Raising kids takes a community ❤️
