[1] The vision for DeePle has always been to expand and reach as many people as possible, and I believe increasing the supply is the only way to achieve this goal. This was never meant to be a small, exclusive community centered around asset value. My goal is to build something genuine, open, and accessible to everyone. That said, I have deep respect for the OG DeePle (Gen 1) holders, and preserving the value of Gen 1 is always at the forefront of my mind. Future generations, Gen 2, Gen 3, and beyond, will have a much larger supply, which I believe will naturally make Gen 1 feel more rare and exclusive over time. The differences between Gen 1 and future Gens will be subtle but noticeable, things like name tags, background colors, alien skin options, and a few surprises I’m not ready to reveal just yet. As an artist, one of the challenging aspects has always been connecting with the right people who truly care about the work. Creating the perfect drop mechanic is never easy, but I try to keep things as simple and fair as possible. Striking that balance is key, and I felt that a FCFS approach within the allocation was the most fair this time around. While I know not everyone may agree, adding more complexity didn’t feel like the right path either. As for DeePle holders, I want each of you to build a deeper connection with your DeePle, give it a name, create a lore, customize its clothes, and use the art however you like. As things continue to unfold over time, I hope you and your DeePles can grow and evolve together. Let’s all DeePle together.

this is a tribute post to share the legacy of an artist whose work has changed my life and inspires me everyday, Jun Seba aka Nujabes. Born February 7, 1974, Nujabes was a music producer & DJ from Tokyo, Japan. He came from a family of music lovers and his father’s admiration for jazz served as an inspiration to Seba at a young age. He pursued his education at a Fine Arts school and the people in his life influenced him to explore the vast wonders of what music really is. In a 2003 interview with Sound & Recording Magazine, Seba said… “I started making tracks because I wanted to hear music that sampled the old soul and jazz I liked.” Nujabes in his early years discovered Hip-Hop and was enamored by the art of DJ-ing and breakdancing. Hip-Hop culture was being brought to life in the USA, but its influence seeped across the world and it started to gain popularity in Japan at the time as well. Seba went on to become a crucial figure in Japan’s underground Hip-Hop scene as a DJ, co-creating a label called ‘Hydeout Productions’. His love for music stemmed beyond just creating it. He had his own record store, which he spoke about in the aforementioned 2003 interview. “I recently started up a record store, Tribe, which I see as an extension of Hydeout Productions. Everything at the store is stuff I went and bought overseas myself, and my hope is for people to come in, listen to old records at their leisure, and hopefully feel inspired by those records to make good tracks themselves. That’s another thing I would like to cherish doing in the future—creating those sorts of encouraging environment” This was a genuine testament to the pure love Nujabes had for music and the community that is built as a result. This passion is what fueled the masterpieces we listen to today and it is the reason for him revolutionizing Hip-Hop production. One of his greatest achievements, in my opinion, was his contribution to the soundtrack of ‘Samurai Champloo’ alongside Fat Jon. This soundtrack set Nujabes on center stage. With a fusion of traditional Japanese musical influences, everything he learned as a student of Hip-Hop, and his early love for Jazz music, Nujabes created a new soundscape which set the tone for this acclaimed show, but also epitomized his brilliance as a musician. At a recent Nujabes tribute performance, longtime collaborator and a friend of Nujabes, Fat Jon, said a few words about him… “Our friendship went beyond music. And so yeah, we had fun making music, but we had more fun just doing regular shit in life… Nujabes as a person, separated from the music, he was a cool person.” You can tell everyone that has worked with or around Nujabes has a deep, unwavering admiration for him as a musician, but also as a person and a friend. Although his contributions to the soundtrack shot Nujabes to fame, his discography of solo music is what cemented his legacy as a pioneer of modern music. From his debut ‘Metaphorical Music’, to his most critically acclaimed work ‘Modal Soul’, Nujabes was able to create entire soundscapes by blending all the different things that made him love music in the first place. It would be a disservice to not mention his friends and frequent collaborators who had invaluable contributions to his work. Shing02, Uyama Hiroto, Cise Starr & Akin (CYNE), Substantial, Haruka Nakamura, and many more. (I’d love to give recommendations to people who want to dive into their work after seeing this!) Nujabes music heavily centered around jazz and soul samples intertwined with his intricate drum patterns and tranquil instrumentation. He fostered an atmosphere of serenity with his melodies than touched the hearts of millions around the world. From ethereal tracks like “Horizon” and “Counting Stars” to his Luv(Sic) series, Nujabes created art that transcended the preconceptions of what music’s impact is. if you made it this far, thank you for reading. i have no more characters left lol

Happy 58th Birthday to me, Reverend Jide Macaulay! 🎉🌈 Happy Holy Homosexual Today, as I reflect on the 58 years of my life's journey, I'm filled with gratitude to God, the almighty for the experiences, challenges, and triumphs that have shaped me into the person I am today. I am a black African priest, British Nigerian, openly homosexual, and living with HIV, and I wear these aspects of my identity as badges of honour. Throughout my life, I've been on a mission to fight for justice and equality, particularly for LGBTQ+ individuals and people living with HIV. I've faced countless hurdles and obstacles, but my commitment to this cause has only grown stronger. It's a path that isn't always easy, but it's one I walk with pride and determination. The House of Rainbow, which I founded, stands as a testament to my unwavering dedication to creating safe and welcoming spaces for those who have been persecuted and marginalised. It brings me immense joy to see how this space has become a symbol of love, acceptance, and support for so many. As I mark my 58th year, I understand that there is much work still to be done. But I also carry with me the knowledge that I have been able to make a difference, to touch lives, and to inspire change. I've witnessed the power of love, acceptance, and community, and it's a force that can transform the world. So, to all those who have shown compassion, who have stood by me during difficult situations, and who have cared for my wellness, please accept my sincerest thanks. Your contributions, both seen and unseen, have made an indelible mark on my life and on the lives of many others. Together, we can and will build a world that is more inclusive, more compassionate, and more accepting. Now that Konstantinovka is practically captured, I wanted to reflect on something really sinister that Zelensky is possibly planning to do. As it is well-known, Konstantinovka is the last fortress that's needed to create bridgehead for launching the offensive on the sister cities of Slavyanks and Kramatorsk. By the reports from even Ukrainian sources, the Russian forces are less than 9 km away from Kramatorsk agglomeration. Let's remember how Zelensky justified not evacuating Sumy: "If the city is empty, the city is easy to capture" He quite literally admits to using civilians as a shield. By the last news from Ukraine, just a small number of specific streets in Slavyanks and Kramatorsk were issued the orders to evacuate only women and children younger than 17, not whole cities. This excludes any adult families without kids and elderly. As of today, according to open sources, around 44 000 civilians remain in Slavyansk, pre-war population of 100 000. Around 70 000 - 80 000 residents remain in Kramatorsk, pre-war population of approximately 150 000. Zelensky is planning to use the same scenario as he did in Mariupol, where the AFU were executing civilians trying to evacuate through the green corridors. The AFU was also using civilian apartments as firing positions, where they locked local residents in the basements, but then mined entrances as they retreated to Azovstal. If they hate anyone as much as they hate Russians, it's what they call "ждуны" - "waiters" - people who are waiting for Russia to liberate them. All of these factors combined are why we saw so much civilian death and destruction in Mariupol. These cities should have been evacuated months ago. There is a reason why they haven't. This will present opportunities for creating emotionally driven propaganda to manufacture consent, something that the Zelensky regime has been doing since day one, because to him and his criminal junta the people of Donbass are just an expendable tool to further promote Zelensky's and his handler's war aims.

Andy Burnham on Jimmy's Jobs - out tomorrow. There is lots to unpack, but I wanted to flag one thing ahead of the episode. He is often characterised as the classic career politician: researcher, SpAd, MP, minister, Cabinet. And that is all true. But the first three years of his career were actually pretty unglamorous: unpaid journalism, transport trade magazines and even writing for Sea Container World. And that is part of the WHOLE point of Jimmy's Jobs. We want to help people see all the extraordinary jobs and opportunities open to them across the UK - and around the world. There are entrepreneurs and business leaders up and down this country creating companies, building industries and employing young people. I genuinely believe it has never been a better time to be working. We are no longer sending people a mile underground to dig for coal, as my father and grandfather had to do to earn a living - if that is what you can call it. But careers can still feel daunting, social media shows you people crushing it. What it rarely shows you is how messy most careers really are: the false starts, the odd jobs, the LUCKY breaks and the moments of chance. At Jimmy's Jobs, we are trying to increase people’s chances by showing them more of what is possible. So hearing Andy talk about that early period of his life was fascinating. It is a reminder that even when you do not feel as though you are on the right path, you may still be heading somewhere extraordinary. You might even end up as Prime Minister. Follow Jimmy McLoughlin 🐑 and Jimmy's Jobs for the full episode tomorrow.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐊𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐫 Every Thursday after school, Lily had only one request for her mother: a detour to the county shelter. No ice cream, no toys. She only wanted twenty minutes on the concrete floor outside Max’s kennel, holding the book she had borrowed that morning. Max was invisible to the other visitors. He didn't jump against the wire mesh or wag his tail to get attention; he stayed frozen on his blanket at the back of the run, with the resigned look of someone waiting for yet another disappointment. The volunteers described him as a gentle dog, but paralyzed by a deep fear that drove people to choose "easier" pups. Lily, however, never saw him as broken. She would sit cross-legged on the cold floor, open the pages, and begin to read in that clear whisper children use when talking to their secret world. Behind her, her mother would clutch the car keys, holding back tears, already knowing the question that would come during the drive home. The answer was always the same: their apartment did not allow animals. Lily had stopped arguing by now, simply asking, "Can we still come see him until someone adopts him?" That Thursday, something changed. As Lily slowly turned a page and whispered, "Dear Max..." as if the fable were written just for him, a hush fell around them. Even a shelter worker stopped to watch. "The little bear found a friend," the girl read. Max lifted his head. He stood up hesitantly, his legs trembling slightly, but the melody of that voice drew him in. Lily didn't reach out her hand, nor did she call him. She just kept reading, offering him the one thing the dog truly needed: time. By the time Max reached the gate, Lily’s whisper had grown even softer. The dog lowered his muzzle toward the open book, sniffed the page, and rested his head against it. Lily held her breath, then smiled with the absolute certainty of someone who knows they have been chosen. Her mother covered her mouth with her hand. The worker turned away to hide his emotion. From that day on, no one ever called Max "too scared" again. They understood that it only took a little girl and a story to give a forgotten dog back the hope of having a place in this world.

TIMED DIALOGUE IN A NIGHTCLUB. THREE WALLS FALL AT ONCE. Nightclub sketch, cut in two halves. Black-and-white first - a couple making out on a couch, someone laughing off-camera. Then color reveals the setup: guy walks up with a drink, delivers a line, she gives him a one-sentence answer that changes the picture, he pauses, then kisses her anyway. None of them exist. It's fully generated, both halves. - What used to be four problems is now one clip Character consistency across a cut - same two faces in B&W and in color. Two-person dialogue with alternating lip sync - three separate English lines, all on time, all matching mouth shapes. Nightclub lighting - low light, saturated color wash, moving sources - was the last hard lighting environment for AI video to render without collapsing into noise. And a kiss - two faces contacting without merging into each other, which has been one of the persistent tells. Any one of these has been solvable for maybe six months. All four in one sketch was still a demo-reel problem in early 2026. - The B&W cut is doing two jobs The editing choice isn't style. It's engineering. Splitting a 15-second sketch into two 5-7 second clips means the model only has to hold consistency inside each segment, not across the whole thing. Monochrome also hides small differences between the two generations - if the girl's face is 3% off between the halves, B&W flattens the delta. Color grading in the second half does the reverse job. Two seams, both hidden by the aesthetic. - The comic beat is the actual craft Generating a kiss is one problem. Generating a kiss that lands as a punchline is a different one. The half-second where he pauses, processes, and decides not to care - that timing has to be prompted specifically. The default output of every current model is a rushed sequence with no beats. Deadpan comic delivery out of AI video means the operator wrote the prompt the way a screenwriter would - pauses, reactions, holds, all specified frame by frame. - What it costs Two 5-7 second clips at $3-5 each with in-model audio. Locked character references for both actors so the faces match across the cut. Prompt structured as a mini-script with beat notation. Realistically 40-60 rerolls to land the timing on all three spoken lines and the kiss. Under $200 in compute. A weekend from concept to publish-ready. - What this actually opens Short-form comedy has been the one segment of content nobody was making with AI video yet, because you can't fake comic timing when your output has drift and glitches. That barrier just came down. Which means every sketch account, every meme page, every stand-up clip factory now has a pipeline that doesn't require booking actors, renting a location, or getting a laugh out of a live crew. That's a real shift in a market that produces billions of views a month.
