If it was legally parked it’s the tow company that’s liable not the homeowner.

Typical liberal behavior. Everyone was supposed to just know without them saying anything. It's all about her and her sister, zero respect for others.

Just like she said, it's a public street. That means the old couple had nothing to do with the decision to tow it. If it wasnt there long, then I'd wager expired tags or something because the police clearly saw a reason to tow it.

Why couldn't the sister leave the car in the other sister's garage or driveway?

Everyone seems to be ganging up on the lady in the orange shirt. You are all wrong. Its a public street, theres plenty of room, unless the car is clearly abandoned, like unmoved for over a month, people should mind their own business and leave other peoples stuff alone.

I assume they all took the homeowners car and left the sisters vehicle. Why didn’t the sister park where the homeowner usually parks once she pulled out of the driveway?

Has to be abandoned for a while before the police will tow it. Fat woman is lying.

How come she’s got the balls to speak with that homeowner, but couldn’t ask the other neighbors to move their car so her sister could park there for the week?

Where I live, you get 72 hours in a public space to park before your car is towed. And they are Nazi's with that rule. I don't know why she is whining to a neighbor, she should take it up with the police/hoa.

When I first moved into my rental house, I parked in the garage. The neighbor had parked in my driveway blocking me from getting out of my garage. I politely went over to the neighbors house and woke them up at 6am in the morning to move their car. Yes, it was an innocent mistake. They knew prev tenant moved out but didn't know I had moved in and my car was in garage. I didn't make it a huge deal and even told them that their visiting family could park in my driveway as long as they parked on the right so it didn't block me. So much can be handled by talking to your neighbors and not being an asshole who just disregards others like this lady in orange. If you are going to do something out of the ordinary, be a decent person and talk to your neighbor.

That's not how a "public street" works or else it would not have been towed. These cars LITERALLY get a orange sticker put on their windows for DAYS prior to towing them.

It was the city that had it towed not the home owner. They just reported it. You can't just leave your car parked on a public street indefinitely, especially in fornt of another person's house. It's called being a shit neighbor when you park in a place that they may need.

The neighbors park in front of her house? Make them move. Dont park your shit in front of someone else's house

If it was towed, they'd have reason enough to tow it. They don't just tow cars because an old couple tell them to. Her case will get thrown out.

So why didn't she ask or say what was going on before? If they went to Disneyland, they can afford the $500 bucks!

You can’t just leave your vehicle parked on the the street for days on end without it moving. Nice try though. Code enforcement came out and had it towed. Go be a whiney B elsewhere.

What is she going to sue the neighbors for? Lol the car was obviously illegally parked or it wouldn't have been towed.

Two companies can't just tow on a public street. Towed for a reason. Probably made a notice on it that went unanswered, so they towed.

I'm going to assume the sister took the elderly's normal parking area, or some law that didn't allow non-residents to park on the street like in an HOA had the car towed. Normal people with elderly next door would knock and explain the situation, 'could we leave the car there for a couple of days?' The elderly might have just asked that the sister's car didn't block where they parked and left them room to get into the spot. They'd have permission and might keep an eye on it to make sure it didn't get vandalized.

Our neighbors hung up "NO PARKING, VIOLATORS TOWED AT OWNER'S EXPENSE" signs along a fence bordering a public street. I called the police and they said a tow company has strict guidelines, and would lose its license if they towed cars along a public street.

USA, the land of the free, where you park your car on a public road and someone can call to get it towed for no reason

On a public street, a car can legally park for up to 72 hours in the same spot before it is considered abandoned and eligible for a citation or towing by police. If they were at Disney World for 3 days, then the homeowner was totally within her rights to request a tow.

I used to have cars ticketed and towed in Los Angeles. They would park over my driveway. I had a video camera that pointed at that area. I used to grab a beer when the tow would show up and watch it all unfold. I’d also get the cars owner returning to find their car gone. This wasn’t just a park and run to another house for an hour. We are talking days upon days sometimes. I had parking enforcements hidden number it happened so much. Sometimes it was blantly parked over my driveway. Those ones would get towed quick!

The city wouldn’t tow it unless they had legal grounds to do it. Good luck in court, dipstick.

Why didn’t her sister park in her driveway? It wasn’t being used while they were on vacation.

I'd love to see the aftermath. FYI: Your car can be towed from a public area if it doesn't move for a while.

Imagine not realizing that even "public streets" have abandonment thresholds, usually 5 days if the car doesn't move. 🤣🤣🤣
