(2/n) ...cross braces so large under-mattress items can't be stored, just things like bags/soft stuff/etc. But I admittedly still like platforms (owned a number of them including one easily broke down and carried in a van to college for my kid's apartment move-in).

Fun fact: These traditional structures provided inspiration for our rural library proposal, especially in terms of form and spatial org. Looking back, if there’s one element we regret not incorporating, it’s the beautiful traditional inscriptions that add such cultural richness.
