That's crazy....

@DorLinder Lifeguard on duty or not I always had my eye on my kids at the pool. At 5 years old I’d be within a few feet from them too. Charging the lifeguard is crazy.

This is why children die with others in close proximity! You cannot tell if they're playing or drowning when it comes to kids. This happened to my Grandson. This lifeguard is a hero, period!

our legal system is out of control

Where were the parents? Who allows a 5yo to swim without supervision? Counter lawsuit for neglect should be brought up.

@kristyj70 I can’t imagine pressing charges after someone saved my child’s life. I’m guessing they’re trying to get a settlement.
