A tree leaning toward the tractor and far more weight above the bucket, which in this case becomes just a pivot point. I'm not a tree cutter, but high school physics should tell you they got pretty lucky.

Sorry, This is not the way to do this, if that tree splits causing a “barber’s chair” that tractor is toast, there is a device to get a rope around an upper limb to anchor off for tension. Secondly you should use wedges in the back cut to push it the way you want it to go.

I have a 200' arborists rope for pulling them over. Pushing it like that is dangerous at best.

That's a good way to get on the local news...there are better ways.

Absolutely. I am a firm believer in letting the machines do all the work. Nicely done

Extremely dangerous. The way is to tie the tree and pull from a safe distance.

Ballsy move, just happy it didn’t decide to hang up and fall back

Big green wedge that weighs thousands of pounds is a good safety margin. Full sized excavators do nicely too when you have to fall across/against the lean.

People do this all the time and it’s legitimately one of the single dumbest ways to die. When a tree rolls or splits unexpectedly(happens a lot) the last place in the world you’d wanna be is in that tractor. Don’t do this regardless of occasional success.

I've seen a video where the tractor pushed the tree trunk away and the top of the tree fell on him and his tractor - almost killed him.
