It’s a beautiful tulip magnolia but when the petals fall off on cement, they are like banana skins - very slippery

Everything you ever wanted to know (and more) about Tulip Magnolia Trees. Tulip magnolia trees, often referred to as saucer magnolias (Magnolia × soulangeana), are stunning deciduous trees prized for their ornamental value, particularly their large, showy flowers that bloom in early spring. They are a hybrid of the Yulan magnolia (Magnolia denudata) and the lily magnolia (Magnolia liliiflora), both native to Asia. These trees are popular in gardens and landscapes, especially in temperate climates, for their vibrant blooms and attractive form. Below is a comprehensive overview of tulip magnolia trees, including their characteristics, care requirements, varieties, and more.

Saucer magnolia..common tree here in my province in Canada. (being that so many love people love these and therefore have planted them on their properties). It’s one of the earliest trees to loom even before its leaves.
