I finally disabled mine this year. Older home and it's inefficient AF. Opted for mini splits and window units for each room

I’m an HVAC tech and that’s some hack shit. You wouldn’t need that in-line fan if it was size correctly in the first place. All it is is a spider system with a mixing box. It’s very common.

Isn’t that loaded with asbestos tape on all the seams?

Cool system but we've come a long ass way since then and have much better methods to handling multiple zones. Interesting how they "upgraded" it with that blower mid run.
