If NM were going to get a free kick because “Essendon” kicked it away, why didn’t Essendon actually get a free kick when the umpire realised it was a NM player who kicked it away?

Why would it not be an Essendon free kick instead then?

I've been saying it for years. The @AFL results are run from upstairs before the ball is bounced. They decide who they would "like" to win to keep the ladder "close and exciting." If the team they have chosen to lose is winning in comes the run of unexplainable frees.
