800 km for us wasn’t possible until a few days ago. But yesterday we traveled them to go and feed these dogs and rescued two who need veterinary care. We were not able to make daily photo albums of the cats and other things because our team is truly at the extremes of tiredness from the big amount of work we are facing, but it is not a complaint, we are happy, tired but happy to be able to help these animals. This mission is in partnership with ifaw and Wtg

On Founder’s Day, I find myself reflecting on the sheer audacity of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s vision. It’s one thing to read about it, but another to truly grasp that he was imagining a future for Ghana that even today feels ambitious. His work wasn’t just construction; it was an act of faith in the future of Ghana, a faith that has been profoundly vindicated. After the Rain showed me serious shege at Lapaz after work this evening it got me thinking… Why do most of our major highways flood after even the least rainfall? At Lapaz, the sidewalks are occupied by hawkers, so pedestrians are forced to use the edge of the road. But when the road is flooded too, what options do people have? You either risk slipping, getting splashed by cars, or walking through dirty water just to get home. Is this normal? Because for major roads and highways, shouldn’t proper drainage be a basic priority?

Our approach is to strengthen ourselves more on the basis of the assets that we have, whether it is in the form of human capital or technology in which we have a lead, if I can say that way, and also in sectors in which we think we can build further. We have about 600 million people who are less than 25 years of age. So we are not dealing with an economy which is ageing. We've developed Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) to make sure that access to global market is given to even the citizen who's somewhere in the far flung area in a village with some handicraft products that he wants to market. So looking at levers which we want to fully use, whether it is technology or manpower, the government's policies have been tailored in such a way that we are able to support manufacturing and the service sector in which India has a lead. - Smt Nirmala Sitharaman during 'ADB Governors' Seminar: Cross Border Collaboration for Future Resilience' in Milan, Italy. The team at CareForGaza delivered an amazing performance in their first phase of providing clean drinking water to the displaced families on a large scale. Access to the basic human right to clean drinking water is not even safe as the survivors are being rained down with bombs and the water filtration system and other sanitation facilities are being destroyed. We would like to extend our gratitude to the donors who are helping us provide for the people in these challenging circumstances.
