800 km for us wasn’t possible until a few days ago. But yesterday we traveled them to go and feed these dogs and rescued two who need veterinary care. We were not able to make daily photo albums of the cats and other things because our team is truly at the extremes of tiredness from the big amount of work we are facing, but it is not a complaint, we are happy, tired but happy to be able to help these animals. This mission is in partnership with ifaw and Wtg

On Founder’s Day, I find myself reflecting on the sheer audacity of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s vision. It’s one thing to read about it, but another to truly grasp that he was imagining a future for Ghana that even today feels ambitious. After the Rain showed me serious shege at Lapaz after work this evening it got me thinking… Why do most of our major highways flood after even the least rainfall? At Lapaz, the sidewalks are occupied by hawkers, so pedestrians are forced to use the edge of the road. But when the road is flooded too, what options do people have? You either risk slipping, getting splashed by cars, or walking through dirty water just to get home. Is this normal? Because for major roads and highways, shouldn’t proper drainage be a basic priority?

This video is from the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway. The expressway has four lanes, and truck drivers are driving in all four lanes. All the lanes are blocked by trucks. As a result, people traveling by car on the expressway are facing a lot of inconvenience, as they are unable to overtake from any lane. In reality, truck drivers are supposed to use a designated lane on the expressway, yet they are driving across all the lanes. We can build world-class expressways, but without civic sense, even the best infrastructure becomes ineffective.

We have been to Crumble Cookie once and our experience was basic at best. The cookies were nothing special and when I found out how many calories there were in 1 single cookie. We didn't go back. We absolutely have issues with just regular basic food in America, there's no doubt about that but stuff like this? Really shouldn't exist.

The team at CareForGaza delivered an amazing performance in their first phase of providing clean drinking water to the displaced families on a large scale. Access to the basic human right to clean drinking water is not even safe as the survivors are being rained down with bombs and the water filtration system and other sanitation facilities are being destroyed. We would like to extend our gratitude to the donors who are helping us provide for the people in these challenging circumstances.
