I've done the same thing. Chewed out someone for forcing me to arrest them and then getting home late because of the paperwork. I had one guy almost in tears I was chewing him out so badly.

I had 2 cops pull up when I was breaking g into my own car in front of a bar. I told them not to worry it's my vehicle. They said: "We know. Criminals run we pull up".

If only the guy had said “I’m not detained right?” He could have just walked away.
