“Punching down” is the most subjective and intelllectually dishonest descriptive towards comedy. How about we just allow comedians to make observations then allow the customers make the determinations.

The money from standup comedy is bad. Comedians make little money from these shows (unless they’re very famous). The Habitat generates employment for hundreds of these struggling comedians, editors, producers, and waitstaff. Vandalising it is just evil. My take on barkha dutt show.

This genuinely made me uncomfortable. I mean, what’s the point of comedy if it relies on vulgarity? What did Ranvir say that was so wrong? If this is what passes for comedy, no matter how modern people try to act, it’s just not pleasant to hear. I’m not sure about others, but I’m certain most would feel the same.
