I feel like some units should be unrecruitable or have high renown demands because why would Peter join any faction when he’s already afraid wants to go home in Cai’s route.

Genuingly being able to recruit other clan's story relevant characters before they're knocked out feel so weird. The recruit conversation with Peter even feels bad. He literally is like "I don't really want to do this but you gave me some food so I guess" (I recruited him anyways)

At least Tialla is only recruitable after Cai's paralogue since that's when he's already out.

Kind of sad there is no VS dialogue between them. But I guess in lore , they still stick with their original leader... lot of units mentions their leader is still number one when recruited but I guess they didnt want remove from player's roster

I really think they only made him recruitable for gameplay reasons/wanting to let people build variants for part 3 bc after playing Cai’s path it’s pretty clear he has no reason to be in Dagsion apart from Cai in the first place
