Early 1900s radium hype included marketing claims around grates and heaters for extra heat, but products involving actual radium were phased out due to radiation health risks including radon gas, bone cancer, and radiation exposure, while modern “Radium” fireplaces are just gas appliance brand names.

I could have had radioactive beads put in my prostate so I could charge my watch battery by sitting on it but nah, had it removed. Cancer killed dad and 3 brothers.
