This is not motivation. What you are talking about, in my humble opinion, is an urge, a super strong drive and it doesn't let you stop. Motivation is not even close. This drive is as strong as the feel to go to the bathroom for a biobreak. Doesn't matter what your motivation is, when you have to go you have to go.

This is something that is mostly found in entrepreneurs these days, and very little in the "professional" developer. We might be talking about a person who is involved in an open-source project, or creating a company. Most of the people that work as software developers for a paycheck do not exhibit this drive these days. This is a far cry from the days when software development was "new", and most of us really loved what we were doing. We simply enjoyed the magic of creating something that most people had no idea was possible. I started out in the very early days of personal computers when I was 12. I was awesome. 🙂

A programmer writes a spec and an evaluation function, runs it at 7pm, and wakes up to what was invented overnight. The advantage now belongs to whoever can specify the problem precisely. To be a successful founder, you have to believe that what you're working on is going to work — despite knowing it probably won't! That sounds like an oxymoron, but it's really not. Believing that what you're building is going to work is an essential component of coming to work with the energy, fortitude, and determination it's going to require to even have a shot. Knowing it probably won't is accepting the odds of that shot. It's simply the reality that most things in business don't work out. At least not in the long run. Most businesses fail. If not right away, then eventually. Yet the world economy is full of entrepreneurs who try anyway. Not because they don't know the odds, but because they've chosen to believe they're special. The best way to balance these opposing points — the conviction that you'll make it work, the knowledge that it probably won't — is to do all your work in a manner that'll make you proud either way. If it doesn't work, you still made something you wouldn't be ashamed to put your name on. And if it does work, you'll beam with pride from making it on the basis of something solid. The deep regret from trying and failing only truly hits when you look in the mirror and see Dostoevsky staring back at you with this punch to the gut: "Your worst sin is that you have destroyed and betrayed yourself for nothing." Oof. Believe it's going to work. Build it in a way that makes you proud to sign it. Base your worth on a human on something greater than a business outcome.

GodLogic believes that Allah has to be something he can fully understand. That’s the problem when you reduce God to the level of creation, you end up imagining Him through human limitations and anthropomorphic concepts. This is precisely why Allah tells us in the Qur’an that there is nothing like Him. Anything you can see, touch, imagine, visualize, or comprehend whether physical or spiritual..is not Allah. The Creator is beyond the limitations of His creation. The reality is that we cannot comprehend the essence of Allah, and that is the most fitting description of the true God. An infinite Creator cannot be contained within the finite mind of a created being. Yet GodLogic keeps insisting that God must be something familiar to him, something that fits within his own understanding. That’s not a problem with Islam; it’s a problem with expecting the Creator to conform to the limitations of the creation. Christians fall into this trap because their theology encourages them to think of God in human terms, making it difficult to grasp the concept of a Creator who is completely unlike His creation.
