In 2004 I was bitten by a timber rattlesnake, 7 days in icu and I don’t remember how many vials of antivenom, but total cost was under 170 thousand dollars. Of course this was before the ACA. Thanks a lot BHO for making healthcare affordable.🤷🏻‍♂️

They need to know which kind to give you which means they need to know the snake type as anti-venom is made from their venom. Anyway. If this ever happens. Try to find a way to detain the snake. Growing up in the mid-south they were encountered frequently near water sources, Contrary to so called experts they can be very aggressive. On the river they would try to get into our canoes and would often come onto shore and engage while fishing. Early on I would always bring a pellet gun and then later on a shotgun.

How the hell do you mistake a cottonmouth for a python they look nothing alike and for the most part unless you are in the swamps of Florida that have invasive pythons then seeing a python in the wild in the US is nearly impossible - Too cold for them
