Whoa. That made me tired just watching it. Fortunately, I got fired in 2021 for not getting the jab and it got me out of that trap. I sold my big stupid house in the city when the market was high, downsized and moved to a small rural beach town. Living off investments for now 😎

Amazing and inspiring. I got out of the rat race as much as possible a while ago and started work for a family I know that owns some properties. I work at my own pace and set my own schedule for the most part. Make less many than I used to. By a lot. But I’m the happiest I’ve ever been. People can take a page from your book.

I’m going to look for something local to do that I enjoy too. It’s amazing the changes you can make when you’re backed up against a wall and can be happier than ever not even knowing such a significant life change is possible. I’m one of the fortunate ones where that whole scenario worked out in my favour. Way less money to play with but I’m way happier. I’m sure going forward the right job will come my way.

Ha, I drive a 20 year old Toyota, no payments, cheap insurance, its reliable and easily maintained by myself. I dont care to impress anyone, I dont have crippling debt, any debt actually, and more money in the bank than most people. Now if I could only get out of property taxes

Henry Ford cut hours to 40. They worked more before that. Over-worked workers got sick more, injured more, and the quality of their work was lower and less consistent. It was a huge win for workers. A win for manufacturing. It changed the world. Ford deserve credit, not blame.

Certainly Ford had an influence on the 40 hour work week being introduced but it was workers and unions that pushed for it. Before that people worked 7 days a week over 100 hours (like they do today).

Garbage, people pay for Internet, Netflix, 2 cars, go out to eat every other night. Don't pretend like people are "barely surviving". Humans worked 6 days a week from sunrise to sunset for thousands of years and survived on less than our poorest get today.

You're right. It's a system created to suppress mediocrity. But exceptional people escape it. Freedom, success, and money aren't meant for everyone. Being mediocre will only lead you to mediocrity. How to escape ? If i am in debt after the divorce . Both loan and credit cards . And i still working to repay them esspecially credit cards . I am building recentely automotive electrician skill . And i hope it compounding by time for the next 15 years to give me freedome .
