I think it’s actually the same X-Men TAS, but this intro was used in Japan only.

The brood was such a great choice for enemies on this.

funny how they show the brood but they actually never appear in the show, BUT they appear in the SNES game X-Men Mutant Apocalypse

This was one of the two openings for the Japanese dub. Imagine if the show had this edgy anime style animation? 🤩🤩🤩

Ima be honest, this is cool, but in the 90s ... the heavy guitar just worked better.

I enjoyed watching it every Saturday morning, mainly for the opening. The story was AMAZING as well. After this, every incarnation has been kinda mid, except Evolution; that one came close.

Could’ve easily brought in Street fighter characters and make this a Marvel vs Capcom thing

Epic and incredible. Also, The Universe needs a Marvel vs. Capcom Anime tv series,A Marvel vs. Capcom 4,A Nintendo vs. Capcom,Bandai Namco vs. Capcom,A Mario & Sonic Crossover RPG and a Sonic x Megaman x Megaman X x Digimon crossover anime tv series.

love how it definitely seems that the animators of the JP OP had only a cursory idea of what happens in the cartoon and were just given the character artwork with the simple direction: "do something cool."

The American one was good but the Japanese one took it to a whole other level!

There was a X-Men anime in the 90s? I knew of the one in 2011 when marvel was doing a bunch of anime with their IPs but never knew of this one. Artstyle and animation look amazing.

One thing i remembered, Cyclops was voiced by Koichi Yamadera who voiced Star Lord

Fox Kids used to air this as the closing credits from season 3 on and I always wondered as a kid where it came from.

This was used as the closing credits for X-Men when it’s in syndication
