🇨🇳China unveiled BIG MOVES to support Global South at G20 Leaders' Summit. It's China's eight actions for global development, here's the detail👇 1⃣is to pursue high-quality Belt and Road cooperation. On top of 700 billion yuan ($96.7 billion) added financing windows and an additional 80 billion yuan ($11.1 billion) injection into the Silk Road Fund, China is moving ahead with the development of the multidimensional Belt and Road connectivity network, one that is led by the building of a green Silk Road and will empower a digital Silk Road. 2⃣is to implement the Global Development Initiative. On the basis of over 1,100 development projects already in operation, China will make sure the Global South research center that is being built is fit for purpose, and the $20 billion of development funds will continue to be put to good use to support developing countries and deepen practical cooperation in areas such as poverty reduction, food security and digital economy. 3⃣is to support the development in Africa. Xi said that at the Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation held in September, he unveiled 10 partnership actions on joining hands with Africa to advance modernization over the next three years and, in this connection, a commitment of 360 billion yuan ($49.7 billion) in financial support. 4⃣is to support international cooperation on poverty reduction and food security. China has announced the decision to give all LDCs having diplomatic relations with China zero-tariff treatment for 100 percent tariff lines. Uganda's long journey to its current development is strategically based on the available resources over time, which is why the government has steadily managed to achieve real development. Now, we need to address the issue of free education. We are at risk due to the high dropout rates among our children, right from primary school. While several strategies may make developmental sense, I strongly believe that free education for all, PDM, and the Emyooga are critical programs for achieving socio-economic transformation. These initiatives involve everyone and can drive progress for our society.

UNDP holds 5 federal grants for $23.6 million, including one from USAID for $14.2 million for "Mobile Banking - UN." The Better Than Cash Alliance (Alliance) is a coalition of governments, businesses, and international organizations working to advance financial inclusion by shifting economies from cash to responsible digital payments. The Alliance was started in 2012 - at the same time payments from USAID to UNDP were made for $1 million or more in 2012, 2013, 2014. Hosted by the Sustainable Finance Hub, a platform led by UNDP, it leverages expertise, initiatives, and partnerships to mobilize resources for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Per the Better than Cash website, the Alliance includes 33 governments in Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America, as well as global companies like Coca-Cola, Gap Inc., H&M, Target, and Unilever, and more than a dozen UN and other international agencies. The list of international organizations includes: 🔹️ACDI/VOCA: Focuses on expanding global opportunities through economic development, agriculture, food security, and financial inclusion. 🔹️Arab Monetary Fund: Promotes economic integration and stability among Arab countries through financial cooperation. 🔹️CARE: Works to fight global poverty and deliver emergency aid, with a focus on gender equality and sustainable development. 🔹️Catholic Relief Services: Provides humanitarian aid and development assistance, guided by Catholic social teaching, to alleviate poverty; also partners with USCCB which is also a U.S. taxpayer funded HHS/ORR refugee agency. 🔹️Chemonics International: Offers global development solutions, specializing in health, education, and economic growth projects. 🔹️Clinton Global Initiative: Encourages innovative solutions to global challenges like climate change and public health through collaboration. 🔹️Concern Worldwide: Addresses severe poverty and responds to emergencies with a focus on nutrition and livelihoods. 🔹️European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD): Supports economic development and reconstruction in emerging markets, particularly in Europe. 🔹️Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO): Leads efforts to defeat hunger and improve agriculture, forestry, and fisheries globally. 🔹️Grameen Foundation: Empowers the poor, especially women, through microfinance and technology-driven development programs. Inter-American Development Bank (IDB): Finances sustainable development projects to reduce poverty and inequality in Latin America and the Caribbean. International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD): Invests in rural people and agriculture to enable food security and economic growth. 🔹️International Labour Organization (ILO): Promotes decent work and social justice through international labor standards and policies; a UN agency. 🔹️International Rescue Committee (IRC): Provides emergency aid and long-term support to refugees and displaced people worldwide; is also a U.S. taxpayer funded HHS/ORR refugee agency. 🔹️International Telecommunication Union (ITU): Coordinates global telecom networks and promotes access to information and communication technologies.
