I'm so sorry, but the people who tell me that it's a pipe dream usually have not spent much time in the health care system. I'm so sorry I went to a whole medical school, wrote a whole book about this, rebuilt health departments, helped to provide health insurance for folks, eliminated medical debt. I think I know some things about health care. And I'm just going to tell you that the only reason they think it's a pipe dream is because they have been bending backwards to accommodate the big pharmaceutical industry and their money, the big insurance industry and their money, the big hospital industry and their money. Once you decide you're not taking that money and you are not going to be beholden to them, this is the best way forward to provide every single person health care in this country.

And we talk about lowering the cost of everyday working families who are holding their breath and waiting for that next car repair bill, worry about how they're going to pay for child care. They need health insurance. Every American needs health insurance here. We gave it to more of them. They're going to take it away again. We're going to make sure that the people of North Carolina know about this. And when I get to Washington, I'm going to do something about it. So many people in Washington just want to be something. I want to do something. And I believe that rural Americans are going to let their members of congress and their senators have it once they find out that they're about to lose life saving health insurance, we need to get that message out

More and more people are unable to access the resources they need due to digital literacy blocks. Papa has long been helping members adapt to new technology, and they've just announced an enhanced Digital Health Literacy (DHL) offering. The service will help grow virtual care access for dual-eligible, disadvantaged, and low-income members with at-home visits to help them learn the skills they need to access quality health care. Papa has completed more than 54,000 technology visits since January 2022, and their enhanced service will help even more people get the standard of care they deserve 💙

It is outrageous. We need to break them up. We need to take on corporate power. Politicians have to stop taking their money. And we need to also allow everyone to buy into Medicare, ah, and, and have that option to level the playing field for everybody. So, to me, you know, these are just where we can get started."

When the Trump administration announced plans to cut rates for home health care, I teamed up with a Republican colleague of mine to push back. And it worked—the administration reversed course. Together, we protected nearly a billion dollars in home health care funding so our constituents can get the care they need at home. And while standing up for Delawareans’ care, we also proved that bipartisanship can still deliver real results.
