I hope that Trump is successful in the things that are righteous and good, but the comparison to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords to Jesus Christ is just unnecessary and simply not true. Let’s just not do that. And let’s not “name it and claim it” either because that’s not something we have the right, the authority, or the guidance to do.

Cringe! Paula White paralleled Trump to Jesus, saying: “Mr. President, no one has paid the price like you have paid the price. It almost cost you your life. You were betrayed and arrested and falsely accused. It’s a familiar pattern that our Lord and Savior showed us but it didn’t end there for Him, and it didn’t end there for you. And I believe that the Lord said to tell you this: because of His victory, you will be victorious in all you put your hands to.” If that doesn’t make you cringe, the comparison, the parallel to the Messiah, then I’m not sure what will. Especially that prosperity declaration at the end, that you will be successful in all that you put your hand to. We don’t have any guarantee of that. We have no promise of that in Scripture. We’ve been given no promise of that by God Himself.
