@ElMengem One thing I enjoy about North American is how often sporting teams from the same city will support each other, when one has success. For example often the Stanley Cup champs will throw out a first pitch at MLB. We don't generally see this in Australia, certainly not in Victoria

@ElMengem I have always said that the AFL is like the NRA in the US. Ridiculous amount of power, long arms and strong ones in lobbying and the ability to skew the truth to their advantage no matter how big a BS it really is.

@ElMengem Bang on, AFL administration have there tentacles in everything especially from a political standpoint. They try to completely control the narrative. Media landscape is changing though. Interesting times ahead.

@ElMengem Every sport operates like this and so they should. Only so much money from rights, not doing your job as administrators if you aren’t making sure you get as much of that pie as possible. Look at the NFL taking over Christmas Day from the NBA as a prime example
