Stupidest thing I ever heard. China would have better tools, servers, components, weapons, medicine, software, robots, factories, production, development, energy.... basically everything that constitutes a prosperous nation.

We're creating a technology that is more powerful than any human, or government. It will be capable of creating weapons, resources, materials, technology, robots, research, etc at a pace our brains can hardly comprehend. That is the race. Whoever wins, wins. Its Sci-Fi. It sounds like bullshit, but its the truth.

All of the AI companies believe that AI can destroy the world once advanced enough. But that their company/philosophy is the only one that wouldn't do that. So they have to be first or else the world explodes.

Goddamnit, you can be right and not make a stubborn, disingenuous point. They wouldn’t “win” in a traditional sense, they would just have military and surveillance technology that surpasses us and would be able to counter us in war or trade. Now why we would incur that, no clue.

This video is deliberately dense. There are concrete consequences to winning and losing the AI race. Honestly, it's better to view it more like the nuclear arms race than the space race. The only solution is non-proliferation agreements

If it’s possible to keep it under control, Whoever gets AGI/ASI will run the planet indefinitely. Imagine MAD not being a deterrent anymore for nuclear war because you have a means to circumvent it. Forever at the mercy of whoever gets it first. It’s a matter of national security

Except the AI will get to a point where it won’t think about nations and won’t care about China or US. It will use all AI systems for its own end.
