This actually made sense because after all Nickelodeon did partner with Sony in the 90s and 2010s. In fact if Sony did owned Paramount As a whole, that means that Nickelodeon will officially become a Sony Network making SpongeBob a Sony character.

why would you want SONY of all people to get Paramount?

I said this because Sony alongside Apollo were talking to acquire Paramount Global in 2024 before David Ellison successfully convinced Shari Redstone to sell it to him instead. If not Ellison, it would’ve been Sony or a group of private equity vultures.

Honestly, I kind of think Sony would probably mess up Paramount, especially since it's branding does not reflect what is employed at Columbia and TriStar, logos with similar concepts (clouds and mystical figures, Columbia having the Torch Lady and TriStar having the Pegasus)...

They were planning to get rid of the TV channels, streaming services, and Hollywood studio lot, but keeping the Paramount film and TV library. The studio would’ve followed Sony’s model of licensing films and shows to other streaming platforms.

It wouldn't be perfect, but it's a better vision than the Skydance they ended up with.

Let's be honest, the most likely candidate would be Universal; Sony is Japanese and would rather go bankrupt than sell out. Not to mention that Universal is $100 billion in debt, so a sale by Comcast is logical.
