Besides the neighbor hitting my mailbox. I have had one of the neighbors down the street hit my house with a drone. The neighbor got a new drone as a gift and they were flying it around the neighborhood. I think they may have had interference or went out of range because it flew right into the side of the house and dented the siding. Being high up it wasn’t that noticeable but I knew it was there. Unlike this young lady who ran off the road and went over 100 ft after she destroyed this man’s fence. Regardless of her excuses I think she’s liable no matter how many claims she made saying it was the car’s fault, like it was a malfunction. Either way she needs to pay for the damages. I doubt the homeowner is going to go after the car manufacturer because she lost control of the car, wouldn’t you agree, He came by asking if I saw the drone and I told him I had it but k also showed him where he hit and that he needs to pay to fix it. He said it wasn’t a problem because he has a handyman that could fix it for me easy. I told him I didn’t want a handyman doing it I want the company I used to hire it to do it that way they could replace it with the same materials. He refused saying it wasn’t a big deal and only one piece of siding. I told him that’s not how it works because since he damaged it, I have a say in how it’s repaired, I was not having anybody go to Home Depot and get a cheaper piece of siding to fix it, there wasn’t any guarantee it would last and I didn’t want any issues later. He told me wouldn’t pay a contractor because it would cost much more. I ended up fixing it with the company and sent him the bill to be reimbursed. After a while he decided to pay me back in fear of being went after by the insurance company to get the money back.

On the 13th of Sept, someone transferred 180k for an iPhone Xs 256GB. After acknowledging his receipt, he called, and I told him we don't have it but will ask colleagues and let him know. I asked my friend, and he told me 190k. I begged him to leave it at 180k because that is what the guy deposited (check frame 2 for reference). When he sent the phone from Kano to Jos, then I noticed it was an Xs Max. Seeing that the guy was in a hurry and didn't want to disappoint, I called him and told him what happened and said if he wants the Max, he can take it at no additional cost. I was willing to settle the difference because it was his first time buying from us. I packaged it with a new premium charger because all our used phones are sent packaged in our branded box with a charger, and I sent it to him in Abuja. He later messaged that he has received the phone and truly appreciates it. After months of not receiving any complaints from him, it clearly indicates that he has received a fully functioning phone. It is in our policy that if you find anything faulty within one week, you can return it to us and either ask for a replacement or refund. What this means is that the cost of bringing it from Kano to Jos, the packaging and charger, and the delivery to Abuja are all a loss to me. But I didn't mind because at least I have satisfied him. Nine weeks later, while I was in Kano, I saw a call from an unknown number. When I picked up, he said it was him. He told me that the camera has started giving him problems. I told him it has been months since you bought it, but you can take it to any repair store and tell me how much you spent, and I will pay. He asked if I know anyone, and I sent him someone's number. The guy didn't pick; he texted and informed me and later called me. I told him to go to anyone he trusts and let me know the amount he spent. A few days later, I was stranded between Kaduna and Abuja on my trip from Kano to Abuja because my car engine failed. He called, and I didn't pick; I don't even know his number. Later in the night, I received his messages on WhatsApp with a threat that he will make a video to tarnish the image of my business. Someone I was willing to help after months of buying a USED device from me is threatening me. I said he should go ahead because I can't entertain him anymore. In conclusion, a trade that I incurred a loss from is what some people are trying to justify as a scam. The beautiful part is I have made trades with hundreds of people here, and I would love two more people to come out and present a case in which they are still using a device I sold to them that is faulty and they contacted me for a replacement or refund, and I didn't do it instantly. This man was criticized for expecting a “thank you” for a good deed. He always saw the same man walking when he drove to work. He assumed the man was walking because he did not have any other means of transportation. He used his own money and bought the man an electric scooter, the man took the scooter and just silently walked away, no thank you or anything else at all. I don’t think that was too much to ask, a thank you goes a long way, otherwise it makes people look ungrateful. Back in college, I had a classmate that I always saw walking home after class. It didn’t matter whether it was raining or snowing, or hot out. Whenever I drove past him he always looked miserable and I could tell he didn’t like to walk all the time. In class I had asked him where he lived, and I found out it was on my way home so I offered to drop him off because it was really cold out and had snowed about a foot. He agreed and we chatted on the way home, nothing serious just pleasant conversation. I dropped him off and went on my way home. For me this was a one time thing, I only offered because how bad it was snowing. After class the next day, he walked with me and when I got to my car he got in. I didn’t agree or offer him a ride that day but he assumed that since I was ok with giving him a ride the day prior that I would be ok with it this day too. I didn’t say anything about it because at this point I didn’t care really. So the next day came and went, once again he walked with me to the car but that day was different. I wouldn’t be going his way because I had to work after class. So before I got to the car I said “I’ll see you tomorrow.” He looked dumbfounded and said aren’t you taking me home? I said no, I have to get to work. He then asked me how he would get home, and I told him the same way you always have. He then gave me excuses for why I was being a jerk because I was making him walk in the cold. I didn’t argue I just told him I helped him out when I could, but I wasn’t about to go out of my way because he didn’t have a car and besides I didn’t want to be late for work. He didn’t speak to me for the rest of the semester because of it, something tells me I was better off not offering to help in the first place.

A player at a casino was accused of being too good and kept winning, they forced him to return all of his chips and cashed him out and told him to leave, there were whispers that they thought he was card counting. I never been to any place where they forced you to do a return and sent you on your way. But I have heard of retail places doing that. When the customer tries to argue at the register they are like you know what, here take your money back and leave. Back when the PS5 came out I was desperate to get one for my kid too, I was searching online for those obscure local stores that had them. I found one in Rochester, NY. I placed the order and got a confirmation and a notification from my bank saying an amount was taken out by them. So I figured they had it and it was fine. A week later after I didn’t get it, I called and he said yes he still had it but he’s been busy and will ship it out asap. I was like ok cool, so another week went by and I called him again and asked what the hold up was. This time around the guy was quite nasty and told me I needed to be patient because he was dealing with some stuff. He then said “you are acting like you don’t want it!” Which was weird because if I didn’t want it I wouldn’t be checking on why I didn’t get it yet. Next day I wake up to a notification from my bank saying the amount taken was credited back to my account and it showed the retailers name. He cancelled my order and refunded my money. So I called again and he said I was harassing him and he rather not sell to people like me. At that point I was furious but what could I do. I was thinking maybe he didn’t have it all along, maybe he only listed it as a means of bringing attention to his store in hopes people browse and buy other items too. Either way the idea of a place of business saying they don’t want my business and giving me my money back and refusing service is ridiculous to me.

I should have did this from the start when my nephews friend would come over for playdates eating all of the food. This man was tired of the neighbor kids taking advantage of the fact he keeps a stocked mini fridge with delicious drinks and ice cold fruit and snacks. The man felt bad and didn’t want to cut them off but he was tired of restocking it daily, he came up with a clever compromise, he bought a lock for it. Weeks after I put my foot down and didn’t let the kid come hang out with my nephew anymore, the dad, I think his name was Otis, accused me of being a bad host and petty. He said that when people welcome each other into their home that they should do everything to make them feel comfortable. I replied I agree and we did but lines were crossed and his son took advantage, what silenced him on the spot was when I asked Otis why was my nephew never allowed into his home to experience his generous hospitality, it was always our home. I also reminded him how he still owed me gas money and how weird it was asking a stranger for gas money right after meeting somebody. That’s when he called me petty and that if I couldn’t spare $20 I shouldn’t have given it to him. From that point on I told my nephew that kid wasn’t allowed over and that he was using him. Was I out of line here? His dad sure thinks I was.

This cost the amount of a used car. When you are young, you are broke. That’s like rolling up to a 25-year-old and saying, “Why don’t you buy a house?” How can you even tell someone or chastise someone about the timing in which they do this when health insurance doesn’t even cover it? It’s not even a financial option for people at a younger age. I’m doing this at 36 because I can afford it, and I have saved for it, and my biology is compatible with it, and I want to. So be mad.

I’ve only been to a country club once and it was a blast. You see, I went there knowing I was about to be ripped off. The beer cart woman was super cool and we drank all day long. I’m not much of a golfer, I just was never good at it but at the time I was a great drinker. This gentleman ordered a Fireball single expecting it to be supermarket prices and was giving her a hard time because it was $9. She’s right you know, she didn’t make the price but she shouldn’t have lowered it either, cheap people will then expect it. I remember telling all of you about the pizza shop, sometimes people going there with money, just not enough of it. This man was coming home from the amusement park and walked into the shop, he said I have a car full of kids, about 6 people total and all I have left is $15, what can you do for me? As a courtesy, I made him a half sheet of pica, loaded with toppings and gave it to him as a gesture of goodwill. We are part of the community and wanted to treat everyone as good neighbors. The problem with that was my good deed didn’t go unpunished because he came back a week later with the same story. I told him It was a one time deal to be cool and I couldn’t do it again. He got mad and stormed off. He ended up calling corporate because I got a call on my cell about it. I told them what happened and they sided with me. They said gestures like that is good publicity and word of mouth creates good PR for the company. But cheap people with a sob story aren’t good customers. Would you have done the same as I? I didn’t lose any sleep over it but I was wondering if I did the right thing.
