I was an Ottawa transit commuter for many years. People thanking the bus driver for their ride was a common, daily occurrence.

American here. Whenever I use public transportation (predominantly trains) I thank the conductors & engineer, if I see them, when I exit the train. Always do so for taxis. Some of us were raised right. And raised our kids to do the same.

Americans mostly leave their shoes on in the house. We are not the same.🤣

I’m the exclusion there too I guess. I hate freakin’ shoes and I have the broken pinky toes to prove it! 🤣 But you’re right… I don’t take them off for hygiene.

I’m a dual citizen and Canadians are by far more rude. People around the world actually found this out during the World Cup. There’s a lot of videos about it.
