Getting these collaborations with businesses, take time and a lot of hours and conversations. Proud of everything that Prince William is doing. He’s got passion and a strong mind to see this through. At Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary I met Dr.Arun Zacharia, an accomplished veterinary surgeon who is also a font of knowledge regarding wild animals, the forest and related issues. His experience and that of the forest officials is key to understanding and managing the animal-man conflict in the area. Part of this effort is the training and use of Kumki elephants that drive away rogue wild elephants when they stray into human habitations. Man- animal conflict in Wayanad is a complex problem for which all of us have to collaborate and find workable solutions.

Despite the Telangana High Court submitting to the Supreme Court that the deforested area is home to peacocks, deer, and other wildlife, a section of people with vested interests still claim that there is no wildlife in HCU and Kanche Gachibowli.
