As a LN reader, I was caught off guard but it makes complete sense that this type of incident would make all of them leave him, like a small turning point in their home. Cuz in the novels it was never mentioned at what point they left him alone in the house

I interpret the anime only content as what really happens in the timeline and not what oldeus thought of it. That also explains Eris being protrayed as desperate and hurt, not as a nuicance like in the LN.
