Seems like he kinda stands by the take, he just regrets putting it out there publicly?

So he’s mad at society and uses his Bama bias to take it out on Tennessee then apologizes because he got absolutely cooked? Yeah okay lol

Typical gump behavior playing victim and calling it an apology…

I’m still confused on how Vitellos celebration of winning a National Title somehow triggered him and his personal issues with society? The guy hugged his dad, embraced his players & celebrated with fans….represented everything right with society.

“As happy for you as anyone in crimson and white in their college experience” ? So not at all then. 😂

What is currently wrong with our society? I don’t understand what he’s trying to say. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Zach, I met Greg at the 2019 national championship in Santa Clara. We were doing our radio programs next to each other on Audio Avenue. He was a genuinely good guy. Engaging, unassuming and down to earth. This, however, was a terrible take on his part as I stated quite emphatically on @FOXSportsKnox and @MS_SportsToday Tuesday. I'm glad he came out and said what he said. Rather than be cynical (an easy place for me to go), I'll take him at his word on all he said. We've all had those on-air moments and they're not fun. Problem for Greg is he's high-profile and while that certainly has its perks, it also has its traps. It's a reminder that while we're paid to offer opinions, it's a good idea to make sure they're formulated from a starting point on what's factual. And... what isn't.

That isn’t an apology. We watch sports to escape the reality of society. Using where we are in society has nothing to do with his comments yesterday.

It’s jealousy is what it is. Everybody wants coach V young and a hell of a coach. Love everything about him they can hate all he wants he needs to win a College World Series and FEEL it before speaking on someone else’s reaction to something he has not experienced himself.
